RIP my Pups

This is the tattoo I designed that I will be getting after christmas, in memory of my grandfather. This is just the drawing and to show where I want to get it. My grandfather loved crossword puzzles, in fact I found this picture of him where he fell asleep doing one. That was a regular occurance for him. He was also a devout catholic, and I was raised catholic, so I found the cross shape to be fitting. The Isaiah 41:10 is a bible passage which says "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." The dates are his birth and death dates, and then it says RIP Papa. Tattoos are still a very controversial thing. I find them to be another medium for art. I know everyone's opinion on tattoos varies. I love tattoos, in fact this one will be my 7th...(well my 8th if you consider the fact that one of mine was added onto 2 years later). I am very excited for this one, and it will definitely be the one I hold closest to my heart.

  1. I have a tattoo and will be having more work done on it. I think they can be wonderful to express your personality or sentiments. I just always keep them where they can be covered up - for employment purposes. I think the tattoo you have designed is really special.

  2. Ya the two I have on my wrists are small enough to be covered by a watch and bracelet which I have just for that reason. The rest of mine are in spots that can be covered, like my back, my ankles, and the top of my foot. The one I am going to get is going to go over far enough to be covered if it needs to be. I have planned mine all the same way because I know there are still so many employers who look down on them. What is your tattoo of?

  3. It's of a tribal dragon. It's over my belly button; I want to have it built up so that it goes half way around. I think some cool red tribal flames wrapping around would be perfect! It was my gift to myself when my awful divorce was final, and I was free finally.
